Isabel Brozena is playing in her first U.S. Women’s Amateur. She earned an exemption when she won the Mass. Women’s Amateur last August. However, it’s not her first USGA event, she qualified for the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, she reached match play and lost on the 19th hole to Avani Prashanth.

She learned a lot from those two experiences.

“I feel like my first one, I was so amazed at just being there; I was letting the moment kind of get to me,” Brozena said.

Those were an entryway into playing bigger events and made her realize that she belongs.

“I think it's gonna be less stressful for me to deal with that big moment and realize that I can deal with it,” Brozena said. “I can be right there with these big names, and so I think that's probably the biggest thing-just like not being as scared of, you know, how big of a tournament it is.”
