Michael Thorbjornsen still has outside chance at FedEx Cup Playoffs

Michael Thorbjornsen will play in the final PGA Tour Regular Season event this week at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield CC in Greensboro, North Carolina. The top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings will advance to the first round of the playoffs. Currently, Thorbjornsen sits in 87th place in the rankings with an outside shot at cracking into the top 70 with a very good week.

I wrote about Thorbjornsen’s slow start on the PGA Tour in March. Some of those bad results and a bit of bad injury luck will probably have him on the outside looking in on the playoffs.
