Hey Everyone,
There are all sorts of little markers that highlight the start of the golf season. This week, the U.S. Open qualifying is another waypoint on our path to warmer weather. On Tuesday at Woodland GC, 78 players will compete for four spots in the U.S. Open final qualifying in June. Here are the tee times.
Good luck and congrats to everyone who is participating in today’s Boston Marathon! After training through that horrific winter, you deserve this cool weather with tailwind for the full 26.2.
THE best day in the city.

Falmouth Planning Board approves Solar Project
In another giant step towards the destruction of Cape Cod CC by the Friel family, the Falmouth Planning Board voted unanimously to approve the PureSky energy project.
The approval comes with conditions, including full demolition of all golf course structures — clubhouse, maintenance building, pump house, and residential buildings — as well as removal of the irrigation system and cart paths. PureSky Energy is also required to plant 650 trees and revegetate 16.5 acres as part of an ecological restoration plan.
The project still needs building permits before construction can begin, but with the Cape Cod Commission having signed off last September and the planning board now on board, the remaining hurdles seem largely procedural.
Just one more reason to make sure you go and play Cape Cod CC this season, as it should be open for the entire 2026.
Thanks for supporting Bay State Golf
